It’s Hot Y’all

The Gulf Coast is under what meteorologist are calling a "heat dome" which is a really whimsical term for what we're experiencing. I think heat dome sounds like a 1960's sci-fi plastic listening device that circles around dropping in to see how summer is going. In fact, it's a weather pattern that holds heat in and keeps rain out. Like a felt umbrella.

Anyway.

Two things make this all bearable: Galveston Bay and Texas AC. The grid is holding up for now so I've been in the studio cutting, sewing, -thanks to the superior AC- I even ironing. I'm working up a summer set of bags that pop. And are the perfect companion for a Tookie's dinner or a late night at Pleasure Pier. I'm naming these after our beloved Galveston Bay.

Here's to hot summer days, digging in the sand, lounging in a canvas chair, shrimp for dinner, and a fun fun fun time on the rides.
